Design Ashram in Kozhikode is a vibrant community space dedicated to art, design, culture, and conversation. Housed in a beautifully restored 100-year-old heritage building, it serves as a collaborative hub for artists, architects, thinkers, and travelers. Founded by Architect Brijesh Shaijal and Urban Planner Nimisha Hakkim, the space hosts exhibitions, public talks, workshops, and events under its iconic Peepal tree, fostering creativity and shared learning.

With features like The Art Room gallery, a co-working space, a well-stocked library, and The Pod backpacker’s hostel, Design Ashram encourages dialogue and inclusivity. Events like Book Swap, Film Scope, and Open-Mic Wednesdays have made it a cultural landmark in Calicut. It continues to grow as a nurturing space for fresh talent, interdependence, and community-led progress.
